It is my belief that companies like us that have made a living selling A&A expansions are going to come under some scrutiny with the re-release of this game.
We have been able to go as long as we have for years due to the fact that A&A has not been manufactured/marketed in such a long time.
Now that AH/Hasbro/WOTC has taken an obvious interest in doing A&A full-time, are we about to become extinct? Technically, they could release expansions of their own, using all of our rules, cards, etc etc and there would be nothing we could do about it, since they own ALL of it.
They have been kind enough in the past to allow our existence, asking only that we disclaim that they own all copyrights to the game. Hopefully things will continue as they are.
Any thoughts on what this means to the expansion market?
Thanks for your opinions,
Steve Wood
